A Bird Control Program tailored for your facility will record all bird/wildlife activity throughout the year. The records will enable us to predict future problem areas and take action to alleviate known bird issues. Good record keeping will help us demonstrate to outside agencies that all reasonable activities and actions are being taken. All activities and actions will comply with the Wildlife Act 1976 as amended. Where appropriate, bird control activities may include Habitat Management, Birds of Prey, Acoustic Distress Calls, Visual Deterrents, Firearms, Trapping and Building Protection.
Bird Removal
All birds in Ireland are protected under the Wildlife Act 1976 as amended 2000. There are some derogations issued by the Minister of the
Environment from time to time, however these are for specific birds causing particular problems, such as lapwings causing a threat to air safety or
feral pigeons causing a threat to public health and safety.
Birds cannot be culled neither their eggs nor nests interfered with just because they are "unsightly". All actions taken by Bird Control
Ireland Ltd comply with the Wildlife Act.
